Walkington Ladies Social Group

The group was formed when the members decided to disaffiliate from the Yorkshire Countrywomans Association, but wished to continue to meet on a regular basis.
Meetings generally comprise a talk from a visiting speaker (or one of our own members), followed by a 'cuppa', the raffle and a sociable chat. We have an outing each August, our Annual Dinner in May and the December meeting is our Christmas party.

Membership

We are always happy to welcome new members and we are sure there must be ladies who would like to join us. We have heard that some don’t want to come out on a winter’s evening, so if you would like to try us out during the lighter nights and find you like us, we could try to arrange transport for the dark nights. If this idea suits you just come along and give us a try. You never know, it could be the start of something good.

The Walkington membership is around 35 and the group meets in the Village Hall (7.30pm for 7.45pm) on every second Wednesday of the month.
