There is a wide variety of social groups here in Walkington. If you are part of a village
social group that is not already represented here, please let us know.
This website is proving increasingly effective as a means of letting people know about cancellations, late changes to events or to confirm that an event is still on, especially when it may be in doubt due to bad weather.
For example, over 100 extra 'hits' were registered on the night of our Jubilee 'Party in the Park' - a message on the front page confirmed that it was on, in spite of the rain.
