Walkington Monday Club

(Formerly the Over 50's Club)
The Club was formed some years ago to provide opportunity for Over 50's to get
together in an organised but informal way and has continued with a regular
membership of between 30 and 36. It still has some 'originals' but newer members
and visitors to individual meetings are always welcome.

Regular meetings are held on the second Monday of most months. We meet in
the Methodist Schoolroom at 2:00pm, doors open at 1:30 pm.

Speakers have ranged over many different subjects and interests and have been
informative or entertaining (or both!) and some have even been invited back.
These meetings are augmented in summer by an outing or two or a gathering in
a member's garden and in December by a Christmas lunch.

Membership

Annual membership is £12.00, Visitors £2 including refreshments.

We enjoy the talks, company and conversation and feel that we complement but
do not compete with other village activites like the Pop-in and the Bowling Club.
Visitors and new members are always welcome.
