Walkington Cricket Club

Walkington Cricket Club play up at the playing fields in the village. The team compete in the York & District Senior Cricket League, Holderness Division 4 against teams of a similar standard like Cherry Burton and North Ferriby. The season runs from the end of April until early September and matches normally take place on Saturday afternoons.

The club also runs a midweek team which competes in the local Last Man Standing (T20) league, although this is a more sociable form of the game.

Nets are held pre-season (normally indoors) and then outdoor net sessions take place at the club on evenings tbc during the summer.
